Holy cow.
Fate/Prototype.
That's all I have to say. Although I believe I'm getting on that bandwagon a little too late.

This is a Review of Majikoi! ( Visual Novel )
Another re-review in my pursuit for perfection... *cough*
Majide Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! is a Visual Novel with light plot elements so the player wouldn't need to struggle to
keep up with anything too complex to understand but it does feature a large cast of vibrant , happy , funny and
memorable characters which is pretty much the selling point of this Visual Novel.
It does not quite feature quite as much drama as other Visual Novels - nor does it have any form of suspense and I can't
really say it's particularly romantic - but I can say that you'd love this game for it's characters and the bond that
they share.

This is a Review of Gods Eater Burst
Despite the unstable flow of the general storyline - Gods Eater has featured a unique "structure" which serves
as the foundation of the plot and a cast of characters whom you can't help but fall for.
Whilst it's not exactly perfectly made - the strengths of this game is great enough for one to overlook it's faults.
You'd be looking at this game like an uncle surveying his favorite nephew.
Still , admittedly , the game have it's repetitive moments and like I said , the flow of the story as a whole isn't
wonderfully done.
Either way , it's a game with both significant strengths and equally significant flaws.
Overall ( Others )
Gameplay
What this game needs is a wider variety of monsters.

This is a Review of Macross Frontier : Sayonara no Tsubasa
Whilst certain elements of the plot is certainly rushed owing to the time constraints of a movie and the Movie just
doesn't really end with much of a bang to it - Sayonara no Tsubasa bears a stronger forte in the bonds between Arata ,
Ranka and Sheryl and it brings all the plot elements of the previous series into one package to tie it up neatly in a
single movie package.
The Mecha battles were also drastically improved and the dogfights grew more intense over time as the characters weave ,
spin and blast their way through their foes.

Whew... I need to stock up on 'em Christmas images
Merry Christmas, Z!
Also, thanks for the comment awhile back on my FF9 review! I appreciate your input; I decided to try to go more for gamers in general though than FF fans, though I hope it can give both an idea of what the game is like. :)
Quote by z827 Final Fantasy used to have lovable characters , epic storyline and well-developed character backgrounds - as well as diversity.
Now we have annoying brats ( Hope ) , naive morons ( Snow ) , typical moe characters ( Vanille ) ... and actually , Sazh and Fang were the only decent lots in FFXIII.Lightning's personality was too similar to Cloud's for my liking - and too poorly crafted in comparison.
sadly I have noticed the little change, guess they are not immune to giving the world what sells >.< figures they would hurt a beloved and well known game for such a thing. guess that goes to show you what happens when they mess with a good thing to force converting it to the crowd that's into that sort of thing and join in on the stereotypical revolution. I've noticed that in other styles, they slap the mature rating and you find whinny big breasted women with no intelligence whatsoever and males that are so macho you want to slap them to shake them from their own ego !
Quote by z827 I've given up on Final Fantasy ( Or rather , Square Enix ) after a point of time.
Their just getting from legendary , good to worst.
Ever since Square Soft became Square Enix , their games are starting to roll downhill.
Not to mention some of the older staff have taken their leave in the company ( Retirement , furthering their own career... ) and the games Square released had never been the same since the PS1 era.As for the... ehh... "Nekomimi in a box" - that's a fairly steorotypical setting ( Of which would always result in the Nekomimi turning up at the player's house a few days later to repay his kindess :X ) but meh , if it's well-executed I wouldn't mind.
Childhood settings are fairly typical in VNs but Kanon for example had done a great job in it - despite the fact that most of the heroines in it are bleedin' Childhood Friends :o
I thought they did pretty good in the early years of FF, but as soon as they started to talk that's basically when it started to divide for me. after that I stopped enjoying game play and I turned to buying it used and taking it back because it just wasn't my thing and then, finally, just stopped getting them all together. aww come now, there's nothing wrong either with a cute little plushie totting child wielding a blunt object with murder in their eye to set the mood for even grander cuteness :O
Quote by z827 Lol , I've played a DBZ game on the PS1 and sometime later - played it again on the PS2.
The only improvements I've seen is the mechanics and the graphics.
Macross games are pretty much almost the same - and the thing is , Last Frontier features less content than Triangle Frontier despite the revamped graphics.Final Fantasy is different owing to the plotline ( Which is something Square Enix has kindly been butchering the past few years ) and there is actually a difference in the different FF games.
Final Fantasy I , III , V , Tactics and several other FF series features a Job System.
VIII's gameplay is generally different from the others since leveling isn't important in VIII.
VII features a materia system so it had made it's mark as well.Though the thing is , Square Enix is getting really horrible as of late. XIII was a disaster IMO ( Bad characters , plot bears potential but was poorly executed ) and they made sucky sequels like The 3rd Birthday which pretty much messes up the original thing.
Let's just hope they don't mess up Valkyrie Profile next.As for Visual Novels - plot settings tends to repeat a whole lot. Girls falling from the sky , warrior girls saving your arse , demonic girls forming a contract with you , Nekomimi girls whom you save from the streets - that kinda thing.
That's why stuff like... say... White Album tends to make it's mark from these VNs.
I have noticed that in FF ten and above was the first time they started talking so that was a "shock" to the playing of the system, imagine all this time just seeing those flashing of lights and then they can talk ! I just never could get into the FF games, I tried and I only liked the Dirgue of Cerberus, but there again I'm a major Valentine fan :D I have noticed a decline that has resulted in FF not having much move, the ds games are frightful in play time. I would rather play Zelda and I'm not really a fan of that either. I've played a few ds FF in the past and they've not been all that bad, mass production once again >.<
aww but there's just something about a chilly and rainy night and a guy is walking down the street under an umbrella to spy a wet cardboard box and a crying nekomimi in said box that needs to be adopted and cared for that doesn't seem to bother me the very least plot wise. I can be a strange person when it comes to VN sometimes :)
Quote by z827 Well , hopefully they wouldn't end up milking the series =.=
Macross Frontier seems to be slowly turning into a cash cow IMO and Bandai isn't exactly known for creating decent Gundam games.
Most of their games are sold on repute and not playability =.=
For one , the new Macross Last Frontier feels like an extremely watered down version of Macross Triangle Frontier - but with revamped graphics and slightly more balanced gameplay.
it's probably not uncommon for games to have the same feel to them. heck you should bravely play any dbz game, and then play another a few years later, they are exactly the same plot just a different upgrade to the graphics to give the illusion they are new. sure repetition is a nice thing, but overkill is not a nice, let alone, good thing. I've only played one Macross game, so I can't really compare those, I haven't been able to obtain any more to play to compare :( but I have noticed repetition in many gundam. for any "cash cow" there's repetition, I've even seen it in a lot of Final Fantasy games. a tiny new change but it's not minor enough. even in Resident Evil and so forth. my memory isn't that good, but I do like fresh and new sometimes :D at least they haven't failed with okami into okamiden that can be somewhat thankful. all new plot (thus far what I have played of okamiden that is) but still a valid point, some gamers like the new stuff from time to time, read that game makers ! I've noticed, even in VN, a boring repetition, maybe a tiny twist like the characters are mimi instead of "humans" but still the same ole thing :(
